Our appreciation party for the families of our staff, board members, and volunteers unfolded on a perfect fall evening under the gazebo on the picturesque Troost family property. We kicked things off with a hearty meal of sloppy joes, cheesy potatoes, and a variety of sides.
After dinner, everyone got creative, decorating and naming their pumpkins before climbing aboard the haywagon for a ride up to the giant hill. There, we held our much-anticipated pumpkin roll. In a loud and lively competition, Jason Shingledecker’s pumpkin claimed victory for both speed and distance!
Following the race, we took a scenic hayride through the property, taking in the vibrant autumn colors in the surrounding woods. Back at the gazebo, guests had the option to cozy up by the warm fire—ideal for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores—or to try their luck fishing in the nearby pond.
With fresh donuts in hand and laughter filling the crisp evening air, it was a wonderful celebration of community and gratitude, surrounded by the beauty of fall
